Comedy at your corporate event

From Christmas parties to annual awards presentations, one-off work gatherings to lengthy strategy sessions, a comedian is a great way to get things going. Let Philip entertain your guests,  bringing laughter to your corporate events.

In a Nutshell

Whether it's your office Christmas party or a general social gathering for your staff, Philip is extremely experienced at entertaining audiences at this corporate level. He's very happy performing a standard comedy set of approximately 20-30 minutes, or hosting part of, or the entire event, responsible for introducing other speakers, calling the raffle, acting as auctioneers, handing out company awards, and so much more. If you'd like something a little more bespoke, then just have a chat about how Philip can work with you to write some comedy specifically relating to your company. It's always more fun when there are some inside jokes to play around with.

Pricing

POA

The budgets for any event vary depending on a number of factors, including distance travelled, amount of stage time, whether you're wanting more than one comedian, and then of course the level of those other comedians.  Philip is always happy to work with you to get the most out of your budget, so it's always best to have a conversation before making a decision.

Extras

Lighting and Sound

Because most venues have this already, or there's often a DJ who's happy to let us use their microphones, this is not included in the original quote. However, Philip is able to supply suitable lights and a microphone with PA. Depending on the space you're in lighting may not be necessary, but any comedian you book would require a decent microphone and sound system to ensure they can be heard over the laughter. At the moment Philip is able to supply lighting for £125 and the sound system for £125. Both together can be arranged for a condensed price of £200.

Bespoke Joke Writing

If you'd like to have something more than Philip's award-winning standard comedy set, then just a little inside information about your company makes for a hilarious addition to the entire performance. It's your chance to have someone else say what you've always wanted to say about the boss, and even HR will find it hard to hide their enjoyment as Philip toasts and roasts members of your team. Naturally there is a lot more preparation for this, so there would be an additional charge, which can be discussed at the time of booking.

PLI

Yes, as a professional comedian and actor, Philip holds Public Liability Insurance through performers' Union, Equity.

Organising Corporate Comedy - as easy as 1, 2, 3...4.

1

Standard Comedy Set

Realistically a comedy set at a corporate event should be no longer than 20-30 minutes. Anymore and it's hard to retain the audience's attention. Don't forget, there's not here for the comedy, that's just a fun bonus, so on these occassions, less really is more.

Philip has been performing comedy around the world for over a decade, so has a wealth of material that's totally suitable for corporate events. Of course, he can be a little bit naughty if you'd like, but generally he's very happy to work clean for events like this.

Don't forget, he's also happy to spend time before the event working with material you've provided to create a hilarious bespoke set for your guests.

2

Host/Compere Event

If you're looking for something a bit more than just a standard comedy set, then Philip's very happy to host your entire event.

As well as making you laugh with some short bursts of comedy throughout the night, he'll also work with your organiser to keep the event flowing, introducing other speakers, hosting the raffle, or whatever else you need.

3

Present Awards

Corporate events are a great time to recognise those members of your team who have worked especially hard over the year. And Philip is happy to be on hand to help present the awards and keep the event flowing smoothly.

Peppering proceedings with jokes, maybe even creating a few fake awards, and generally keeping spirits high, Philip will be a wonderful addition to your team.

Booking Comedians

If you've got a bit more time at your event, you may like to have more than one comedian, magician, singer, etc, to make more of a show for your guests.

Having worked as a comedian for over a decade, Philip has booked and organised plenty of comedy nights, so knows how to get the best acts for your budget. He is also well versed in how to run to gigs on the night so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the show.

Philip was brilliant. Read the room well and adapted to the multitude of cultures we had within our office. The limerick he created specific to our business was excellent. I couldn't recommend him more for a work event.
